Ultimate Toy Run

10 different stores in 3.5 hours, and boy are my feet tired!  After finally doing my taxes, I'm going to get a nice refund back.  Since I've been a very good girl (toy wise), I generously decided that I deserved a little spree... within budget, of course.  Here's what I got:

Ross had the MoxieTeenz ($15.99) and two Liv Alexis' ($7.99 & $9.99).  Walmart the Beach Barbie ($5.97) and Karate Fashion Pack ($5.87).  Kmart had the Liv Sophie ($15.00).  All the other stores were a bust.  I did see that Target has their 1st version exclusive Barbie Basic Accessory pack on clearance for $7.86.  I don't have this pack but I still didn't get it.  I'm betting they'll double it down.

I consider this a good haul and I had money left over, so yay!

  4. Congratulations on your finds. The Liv dolls seemed especially good sales. And the Karate pack looks fun. Will you be having a karate class?

    1. Thanks, D7ana. Even paying $15 for the Sophie Liv felt like a bargin because she came with a 4 piece outfit, scarf, bag, glasses, extra wig and a wig stand.

I used to take karate a long time ago, so I just had to get the karate gi. I don't think there are any karate classes in my girl's futures. I'd need a lot more gi's.

  5. Hi Muff, great purchases! TRU also has the Moxie dolls at a reduced price of I believe $14.99. I have two of them. My inner voice said no more big dolls. My other voice said yeah right! Lol! I like my other voice better. Lol! The wigs and fashions are also reduced to $4.99 and $7.99 respectively.

    Happy Sunday!

    1. You made my Sunday, Georgia Girl! I read your comment about 3:30pm and by 4:00 I was in TRU! I've never paid attention to Moxie dolls before. There was only one at Ross in a Liv bin so it stood out. I got it for the guitar and outfit, but the doll itself was super interesting once I got it open and it gave me many ideas. Thank you, thank you, because now I have 2!

    1. Sergio, you do know that the Twist & Dance LIVS don't have knees that bend? They are the great for the costumes and the wigs though.

    2. Hi, Sergio! I see from Dollz4Moi that Twist & Dance Livs don't have bendable knees. I have seen them in the stores but never noticed their knees didn't bend. If they are the ones I'm thinking of they are wearing pants so it's not visible. I hope they are what you want.

    3. @Dollz4Moi: I didn't know this :( I thought that Livs were all the same, also, the seller told me that she is fully articulated. Thanks Dollz4Moi!
@Muff: Yes, she wears pants... Next time that I want to purchase something not avalaible in the italian shops I'll ask advice to you.

  15. Lucky you, what a lovely lot of dolls. I must admit to being a bit envious of the price you paid for the Moxie Teenz doll. While Moxie girlz have been available here for a long time, I only say a Moxie Teenz for the first time last week and it was $50 - so I'll have to wait a while to get one.

    1. $50, Carrickters?! No way would I pay that much. I really like the ones I got but that is too much money for their simple articulation.

  19. I haven't done a marathon shopping run in a long time. Now that gas is so high, I will be putting it off longer. I'm glad I got the chance to enjoy your! You got some great stuff. Which Sofie is that with the jean jacket? I haven't see her before. I've been debating the Karate Fashion Pack.

    1. Ms. Leo, I had to do some research on it, but that Sophie is the 1st version of the doll that was launched in 2009. I just did a post on her if you want to see the whole box.

I haven't opened my Karate Pack yet but I have seen some photos of it on Flickr and I think it's awesome.
