Get Your Sparkle On

A new Walmart opened about 20 minutes from me. I was hoping they'd have a new selection of toys, but it was the same old, same ol'. They did have a big selection of Sparkle wear though!

I would totally wear that top in real life

I would wear this top too

I know some might turn their noses up at the $1.97 Sparkle stuff, but I think they have some rather cute fashions. True, it's not the best quality but I am seeing some improvements with their stitching versus their first release.

  1. Ah! Most of those outfits are really cute, I especially like the tops like the cat wearing glasses, the white one with a fringey/lacey middle and the one with a camera print. Thanks for taking all these pictures:D

    1. Maricha, I'm a big fan of graphic t-shirts and have a collection of them, so that's probably why those are my favorites too.

  2. these are so totally cute! I buy these alot of times for the Poppys. and mix and match them. And if you are doing a boutique-diorama. multiples of the same outfit are perfect on hangers, and the price is great too. They are really improving.

    1. Lisa, that's a great boutique idea! Super cheap way to get multiples if you don't want to sew them.

  3. There are some really cute outfits here! I am a fan of the Sparkle Girlz outfits because they do have some really cute items and I love their low price too. What I like too is that some of the clothes fit some of the smaller dolls to, like Skipper, Stacey (both old and new versions of these) and they are also a good fit for OHC and AG Mini sized dolls. You can get a lot of bang for your buck!

    1. Too true, Phyllis. I know some of the bottoms don't fit on Barbie's but they will on other dolls.

    1. Kat, my local store hasn't had Sparkle clothes for a while, so I wasn't sure if these were a new release or not.

    2. Last time I've been to Walmart(s) was December and I've only seen two of these then. So they are new for me :)

  5. Urocze, piękne stroje na lato! Niektóre z nich chciałabym mieć, lecz u nas nie widziałam tych kompletów. Muszę pomyśleć, aby uszyć coś podobnego dla moich lalek :)))
    Pozdrawiam Cię serdecznie!

  7. A few of these are really cute. I saw at least one repeat of a previous fabric. There's nothing that makes me want to run to Walmart to look for, but those floral jeans did make me pause. Thanks for sharing, Muff!

    1. Debbie, when it comes to fashion/fabrics I'm very clueless, so I didn't notice the fabric repeat. But hey, if repeats keep the cost down I'm all for that.

  8. I just love their outfits! First because there isn't a ton of pink, second because it looks like clothes real people wear and third you can't beat the price! The one thing I do notice is because they come out with new stuff so often, it you don't get it before the next new line comes out, there are no longer available. So get your favorite pieces while they are there!

    1. Yeah, Ms. Leo. The Sparkle outfits do get snapped up rather quickly and I find that my local stores don't reorder. If you snooze you lose.

  9. I love their clothes (I think I own just about everyone you posted here). Yes, sometimes you have to add a skirt, leggings or shorts or be creative based on how short the dresses can be, but that just adds to the outfit. I say if people want to turn their noses up at the price, that's great for me. Then I can actually find the clothes.

  10. Great assortment of summer styles. I think I'll pick up a few of these for my travel doll to wear when we go to Jacksonville in July. Thanks for sharing!

  12. I have the majority of these. I actually like them better than what Mattel is producing. The fabric more than often go all the way around. Lol!

    1. Oh! That's a great point. I hate this new habit of acting as if only the front matters.

    2. Georgia Girl, I haven't purchased any Mattel clothes in a looooong time, but I thought their latest fashions in the singular packs were supposedly full patterned now.

    1. DeMari, my local Walmart has only been selling the small children dolls and none of the fashions, so it was a treat to find these.

  17. I would love to buy these outfits because they aren't hard to re-sew and make them fit the Monster High dolls. This is easier to do than sewing a complete new outfit :D
Sadly, I'm in Perú, this doll line doesn't exist here :(
