I love what the guys are wearing. Are they action figure clothes and that's why the shirts are too big? They are nice shirts. I laughed about Barbie not wearing pants, but we would never have known. The podium is nice.
Yes, Janainah, they are both wearing G.I. Joe type shirts. Ken's black jacket is from a Bieber pack though. They were both going to be cops but I could only find one gun belt. I was then going to have one be a bodyguard but could only find one pair of black pants so he had to became a campaign manager instead. Have to make do with what ya got.
More presidential candidates should be pants free! That would make them more electable! I will have to use some of your tricks on my dios. Love the video!
I always enjoy your videos. I learn so much about you this way. Great tips. I especially like the electric tape for socks. I never thought of that. Your guys are really looking the part! There was another tip I was going to use, but I'm drawing a blank. Will have to rewatch later.
Vanessa, necessity is the mother of invention and all that, lol. I know at one time I had some Ken socks but I couldn't find them so electrical tape to the rescue.
Wiem, że masz świetne pomysły, ale i tak mnie zaskoczyłaś! Rewelacyjna diorama ze wspaniałymi rozwiązaniami! Wszystko odegrało swoją rolę a potem to złożyłaś! Kapitalny filmik! Pozdrawiam serdecznie i dziękuję za rady! Na pewno niektóre wykorzystam!
The magic of photography!!!! This was so much fun, Muff. I too, like your tip about using tape for the socks. The way you used clips to fit the shirt better to the doll is EXACTLY what stylists do in real like magazine shots! Love your podium and the rest of your set-up!
Beautiful photos, Muff! You did an awesome job on the podium. Thanks for the tips, really liked the magnet one, I'll be using it in my setups. And that brick vinyl is really nice. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it.
Thanks, MC! I actually dislike adding the voiceover and would just stick with captioning if I could, which is why some of my videos have voiceover but most don't. I know though that for those who are hearing-abled, it's distracting to have to read and follow a visual instruction at the same time. So, for the more how-to type vids I suck it up and do some talking, lol.
I wouldn't feel very confident to speak in a video, specially because my english pronunciation is not very good. If I ever do a video, I'll probably put a caption aswell.
I love these tips! (you make it look so easy!) Thanks for the post, I'll have to put them into practice when I get around to making stuff for my dolls! Also, super cute stopmotion :) Thanks for adding captions!
You're welcome, Erin and glad you got something out it! When you start making stuff, I hope you'll share it with us. The dolls were just standing there all nice and well lit so figured a little stop motion was in order. I would like all videos to be captioned. Too bad the auto captions on Youtube rarely match.
I definitely will! I've picked up my doll blog again (lightwavesdolls.blogspot.com if you care to check it out) and I hope to post about my future creations! Right now, it's mostly posts about my little shopping spree this month, and all of the fun I'm having rediscovering 1:6 dolls. I totally agree with you on captions! The Youtube ones don't typically match unless someone goes to the trouble of writing out their own.
Great tips! Thanks for sharing them. I'm always wondering how to get better lighting for my photos, so I'm looking forward to giving your suggestions a go.
Jewell, having good lighting is one of the more annoying aspects to deal with with photography. I finally just set up my semi permanent shooting box instead of packing the lights away every time.

ReplyDeleteLOL, Ms. Leo! There is not a single presidential candidate that I want to see without pants, not even Barbie.

Cześć, Olla! Cieszę się, że znalazłem kilka przydatnych wskazówek w filmie. Dziękuję bardzo za oglądanie.

ReplyDeleteThanks, April! My photographer's bag is full of clothes pins and binder clips, lol. Definitely tools of the trade and must haves.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on opening up your shop!♥
Thanks so much, Adrian! Very cool to hear from you. I miss your posts.
DeleteThat electric tape tip is awesome. You gave me an idea... use decorative washi tapes as cute fun socks for Barbies. :D
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea, Oly! I don't have any washi tape, but you've given me incentive to get some.
DeleteVery smart tips and tricks! Love the magnet idea! I love your videos, and it's great to hear you explaining everything.

DeleteOooh, I love all of your hacks, lol. Great video!!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Farrah! ^__^
DeleteGreat tips, especially to tape Ken's shirt. And you have a really nice voice. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, IHime! I always think my voice varies between an elderly lady and a little kid.

DeleteThanks for sharing these tips. I love how you've taped up the foam board to create the space and the lighting tips.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, D7ana! I don't want my true love, cardboard, to think I'm cheating, but foam board is best for reflecting light. ^_^
