Running Errands

Just going from one side of town to the other. Saw some new dolls and purchased a Peacekeeper. There's also a tip on how to make it look like your doll is walking down the street.

Peacekeeper images from the video:

These guys faces are not new to me, but they have changed the packaging this year.

  1. Nice video as always!! You are so funny! Lol! I love how jovial you are. I need to make a Big Lots run. I like the 2nd guy. The Asian guy is nice as well. I believe I have the last guy. Do you know where I can purchase hands for them?

    1. Thanks, Georgia Girl! I have been to three different BigLots but only one was carrying any Peacekeepers. The other two didn't even have the 1/12 versions they usually have. Phyllis is right on, Monkey Depot is the place to get extra hands.

  2. You cracked me up especially your outburst to that woman in the parking lot.
My, that seemed like a lot of driving. Is everything really that spread apart or do you go to your favorite version of each store?
(I'm super picky and travel much too much because of that, I want to know I'm not the only one who does this :D)
This Asian Peacekeeper reminds me of a doll I saw on your site a while back. Very cute. Thanks for taking us on your errands

    1. Maricha, that lady scared the heck out of me honking her horn like that. Not my fault we're both driving obnoxious suvs.

Hmm, although I am picky too, Jacksonville is a big city and very spread out so it can take awhile to get from one place to another. On average, if there is no traffic, it takes me 30 minutes to get to work. To go a straight distance from the eastside to westside of town would take about 55 minutes. Add 15 minutes to that if travelling during peak rush hours.

  3. Thanks for taking us with you on your little excursion! I am jealous because there are never any Peacekeepers at our Big Lots! I always have gotten mine on line. Oh, and I just loved it when you went off on that lady! 🤣. Georgia Girl, I get my replacement hands for action figures mostly from Monkey Depot. They have a good variety and I can usually find something that will match the different skin tones and their prices are pretty good and they ship fast. You can find some on ebay, but those usually come from China and take a long time to get to the US. I don't know if you follow Jatman Stories at all, but she just did a tutorial on where to shop for Action Figures and it includes where she buy hands and other accessories. She has a lot of sources! Here is a link to her blog: http://www.jatmanstories.com/dioramas/tutorials/tutorial-where-i-shop-for/

    1. Phyllis, you can get Peackeepers online?! From the manufacturer or you mean on eBay? eBay and Amazon prices are ridiculous so it would be great to find them retail prices. Thanks for the Monkey Depot info and sharing Jatman's link!

    2. I know you can also buy Peacekeepers from Aliexpress but, as Phyllis says it would take weeks to get them and they cost 20 something dollars each so I think this is from a middleman and not the manufacturer or they would be less expensive.

    3. Maricha, I had not visited Aliexpress before and just spent an hour looking around when I should be going to bed. I found a Peacekeeper there I had never seen before! Too bad he's double what I would pay in store.

    4. Ha! Yeah, I should have warned you about Aliexpress being a time hog.:-)
You really find pretty much everything there for dolls and crafts and the prices are often low but sometimes-like for Gloria sets-they're sky high.

  4. Hey, Muff! Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Fun as usual.

I think that señor Stylin' Stripes Fashionista looks sad because someone told him that his outfit is one of the better Ken fashions. Imagine what he has to look forward to ....

(Thanks Phyllis for the tip about Jatman's site. I need to refresh my supply sources ;-)

    1. D7ana, we aren't getting a lot of the new Kens here, or maybe they are selling out faster than I can see them. I'm still on the lookout for the hip hop hoodie guy. Mattel Ken fashions - sigh. It's too bad that the Sparkle people don't make boy dolls because I bet they would have some great fashions.

  5. I am with you...I cant stand it when one of my favorite store closes down. It is like HEY! What about me...you didnt ask me and you know I shop there! Oh well, LOL
I am glad you went to the gym to get out your frustrations about it. I would have picked the Asian guy when I saw him. I like his mouth. Sexy!

    1. Grandmommy, granted it's been at least 5 months since I've been to that particular Tuesday Morning, but a going out of business post card would have been nice. But since they had to close, I doubt they were going to waste money on postage for me. Hopefully they were able to sell their stock to the other TM's still open.

It's always so hard for me to talk myself into going to the gym, but once I'm in there I love it, especially that massage chair.

  6. Hahahaha, I loved when you shouted at the lady in the parking lot, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that does that. I would prefer aswell that the curvy fashionista had darker hair, and I don't like the petite one's outfit, but her face is cute.

    1. Monstercrafts, after seeing the footage and hearing how loud I was, I was probably the one who should have calmed my tits, lol.

I will probably get that ice cream lady one day because I love that face. They have been releasing such a variety of the dolls I hope they reissue the curvy lady with different hair coloring.

  7. You should check out some of the new Fashionista Kens... I was at Target the other day and decided to torture myself by going to toys. Noticed they had more Ken dolls (the Barbie section still has not recovered Christmasgeddon). One of them seemed a little odd, so I went in for a closer look, and was shocked/delighted to see that they had changed the way Ken's head attaches to his neck - they've switched from a plug-in knob to the Model Muse format (which means Ken's head now swivels like Barbie's head). It looks much better.

    1. Well, well, well, C. Hadden! I'm going to have to check out these fancy new Kens. I wonder if this means there will be a MTM male body on the way.

  8. To me that ice cream dress looks like a hospital gown. That dress was a strange choice.

Too bad about that Tuesday Morning, but it seems to be par for the course lately. Yay for you for going to the gym.

    1. It does look like a hospital gown, Barb! My sister is a nurse so I thought that I was just seeing things and it was just similar to scrubs, but it looks like an actual gown.

The gym and I really do have a love/hate relationship.

  9. So that lady made you mad, huh? LOL! Don't you just hate when a store you like closes and you didn't even get a chance to get the clearance stuff?

    1. Mad, Jaye? Nah, that's how I usually interact with others, lol. I'm so anti-social. Someone tells me to have a nice day and my first thought is, "Don't tell me what to do, go eff yourself." Most of my family is like that. We are a bunch of weirdos.

I know! The Belk store I usually go to closed as well and I had no notice! I even have a Belk credit card. Now they definitely should have notified people that location was closing. Now I have to go all the way to the mall for a Belk. Hmm. I should check if that one is still there too.

  10. Haha, loved the video and I always love the doll tips and tricks (and calm your tits!) that you include for us in your videos. My brother lives in Tampa and he just filmed a vlog where he was driving across the big bay bridges on his way to FYE and that had closed down too! Always disappointing.
I also agree about the curvy fashionista..wish her hair was brown, but she's super cute anyway. Those Peace Keepers have really nice faces! I've never seen them in person before..

    1. Wow, Farrah - FYE, I haven't thought about them in forever. I remember back in the 80's when all their locations were Coconut Records. I think they might still be in the malls here but I'm not surprised in this digital age that they have closed shops.

If I was into rerooting I would redo that dolls hair but alas, I am not.

  11. I enjoyed coming along for your errands. I knew you'd get the Asian guy. I want him, too but I've sworn off guys with gloves. I found a couple of Asian hotties on eBay that were new to me and they have normal hands.

    1. Thanks, Jewell! Yep, I'm a sucker for an Asian guy, lol.

  12. Always great to tag along while you run your errands, Muff. Somehow I also knew you'd get the Asian guy. Though the black guy was cute as well. That's a good idea to look at the action figures instead of the Kens. P.S. My nearest Tuesday Morning is also gone!

    1. Thanks, April! Oh no, I was hoping that one Tuesday Morning was just in a bad location that wasn't getting much traffic anymore. I hope they all aren't closing up.
