Do You Have A Nicole Doll?

Tuesday Morning is carrying the Nicole dolls. $9.99 for a deluxe articulated version and $4.99 for a regular version that only has articulated knees.

Produced in 2014, these are the same people that made the Kenya and Friends dolls. I only have one Kenya doll that I purchased as a body donor. I like that those bodies have big old boobies, but their knees are the hinged typed and their necks are quite low and don't bend well you want to use them as donors. If I recall, the clothing wasn't that great and the earrings that came with my Kenya doll broke into pieces when I removed them.

I'm on the fence about getting one of the Nicole ladies. Although, that rose dress does look cute and fancy, I like the day wear better. If anyone has one, what do you think of the Nicole clothing quality? Decent? Feels like paper? Total crap???

  1. I've never seen these dolls but I'd get the first one for the articulated body and the dress. I don't know how it would hold up to getting washed but you'd have a cute holiday dress and an articulated body. Not a bad deal.
    Thanks for sharing your pictures:)

    1. Maricha, if that dress ever got dirty I'd have to spray it with Febreeze or something. I think it would fall apart if you washed it. It sure is cute though!

  2. Hi Muff. I bought one of the $4.99 ones just for her dress. It is the second one. I actually like the quality of the dress. I have not seen the deluxe ones. I also noticed that it was the same maker as the Kenya doll. She resembles Kenya somewhat.

  3. WOW, I saw the one that only had the knees that bend at Roses for 9.99! Like Georgia Girl, I would totally get the second one at 4.99 for the dress! Did know there was an articulated version. They look like light versions of Kenya dolls.

    1. Ms. Leo, I definitely wouldn't pay $10 for the ones that only have articulated knees. I'm way too cheap for that. I haven't been to Ross is over a year because the last time I went they only had toddler toys and no playscale dolls. I thought they had phased them out.

  4. Thanks for sharing, Muff! I haven't seen any of the Nicole dolls yet. I remember them being by the same company that made Kenya. That rose petal gown does look tempting as well as the second dress others have commented on and the third dress, too. I'd probably only keep one of the dolls though. Hmmmm ... yet another reason to get to one of the Tuesday Morning stores.

    1. You're welcome, D7ana! I was surprised to see "newish" stuff at Tuesday Morning. They were supposed to be having a huge clearance on toys but that stuff was picked over by the time I got there.

  5. I've never seen these dolls before, but you can tell they are from the Kenya line with those heads. :-) If the MTMs weren't around, they would make good donors.

  6. I'm glad you're doing OK,Muff. Well, OK enough to reply, at least:)
After the fallen trees you showed us following that last big storm I was worried about how you were doing and if you'd had to evacuate for Irma.

    1. Hi, Maricha! There were lots more fallen trees and flooding this time, but luckily I'm far enough from the river that it didn't reach my building. I didn't evacuate though. My mother was the only one who left the city but my sisters and myself stayed in our respective homes. Other than days without electricity, we all faired pretty well.

  7. That's good:)

I saw the hurricane coverage and know I would have been so scared. I just don't know how you guys did it without having a heart attack.

Nothing makes you appreciate electricity more than doing without it for a while :D

    1. Jay!!! How the heck are you?! I still don't have a curvy Barbie. I keep waiting for a M2M version of a curvy. Looks like I'll be waiting awhile.
