Thrift Store Find... Finally!
There is a thrift store that I have to pass on my way home so I check it once a week to see if they have any dolly stuff. They never do but this last time I finally found something I wanted! This cart was in perfect condition. It didn't come with the wheels and they don't really fit. The wheels will just fall out if I pick up the unit... so I wont pick it up, lol.
The only problem I had with it was getting the price off it ($7.99). This place must have a problem with people switching tags so they use markers to put the price on stuff. I would have paid $25-30 for this at Walmart so I'm very happy at finding it. I like keeping my doll stuff organized, so the more storage the better.

Great find! At the Thrift Store I go to they use black china marker on the naked dolls and it takes a magic eraser to clean it off.
ReplyDeleteHmm, magic eraser. I used nail polish remover to get the price off and made a mess. I then switched to baking soda and with a little dry scrubbing got it off easier.
ReplyDeleteSweet find! Gotta love organization, especially when you don't have to pay full price, lol. My thrift store does the same thing with the markers-- even on the front of books and paper stuff! So annoying!
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I'm looking for something similar to store my dollie things, but they're so expensive!
ReplyDeleteThat is a really great find. I still find myself digging for things. I would love to have something like that for my dolls.
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain: not going to believe you but I have several carts similar to yours with clothes and furniture for Barbie. So I have everything organized. Congratulations for this good buy. I have some wheels and some without the weight because I was released. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteHey Smidge Girl, I only frequent this one thrift store so maybe that's the norm at all of them to use markers on stuff.
ReplyDeleteHi Rossetti, storage bins are expensive here too so I always have to cath them on sale.
ReplyDeleteDown with digging, Ms. Leo! I get really frustrated if I cant find something. Bins help me keep my sanity.
ReplyDeleteMartha, I tried to keep the doll clothes in storage bins but every thing got jumbled. I put them in those binders you use for paperwork and it's much easier.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your pictures, I can tell it is a purchase well worth it. Anything that helps you stay organize is all worth it.
ReplyDeleteHi Brini. Yep, it's already filled to the brim. Now I need another one!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! These come in really handy. I bought tons of them years ago when Walmart had them cheap. Now they are too expensive for me. They are perfect for dolly organizing. Goo gone works great to get rid of the marker.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your neat find, Hey it's Muff!
ReplyDeleteThanks, all, for the tips on removing magic marker stains, etc.
Thanks for the Goo gone tip, Vanessa. Next time I find a goodie at the Thrift store I'll stop and get some Goo Gone too.
ReplyDeleteHi D7ana, thanks for stopping by!
