Monster High - Now with sound!

Walmart has these, but I was so busy pushing and poking I forgot to see how much they cost - not that I'm going to buy one anyway.

In person Clawdeen's face is clearly separated from her head and it's distracting.  She also has what my folks would call a "five"head instead of a forehead because it's HUGE!  You could probably comb her hair differently so it isn't as noticeable.  I don't need my dolls eyes to open and close so that's not a feature I really seek out.  Frankie lights up and makes electric charging sounds and it's fun seeing her skeleton glow like that, but that's all she does.

Given that this is Monster High I think I was expecting different.  Like maybe a multiple sound pack that had more than a single howl on it.  Perhaps a song or some verbiage, but not just "howwwllll" and lightening noises.

Overall, this is another line that I'll be skipping but it was certainly interesting to look at.

  1. We have also these MH here but don't know the price. There is also Spectra in the group. I'm agree with you and I'll skip this line too, but I find cool the design of the boxes

    1. Sergio, they didn't have a Spectra available when I was looking at them. I wonder what sound she makes. Probably just goes, "boooooo."

    1. Hi, Marta! I don't know how successful it will be but I will say they are innovative with their lines.

    1. Carrickters, if I ever see one on clearance for like $6 I would get it just so I could see how they put it together.

  5. I don't really like this new line, I think that it is an experiment that mattel could have saved us from...

    1. Rossetti, as you know, I always appreciate a good experiment so I'm not mad at them for making the attempt. I think they could have added more sound effects though.

  6. I think I will pass on these. Now the 13 wishes line thats coming out might have to break the bank on those!!

    2. Wow, Jay! Thanks so much for that link. I have kept my eye on the Howleens and the 13 wishes version just might be my first one. Everything about her is perfect. My teen collection will be growing!

  7. I don't know what to think of these. I didn't like them at first (also because the outfits on these dolls are just the basic ones with a few differences) but I'm starting to like them more.
But they probably won't get released here anyway :/

    1. Tali, you are right, they did recyle the clothing. Perhaps if they had given them some fresh new styles the other shortcomings wouldn't have been so glaring.

  8. Every Clawdeen I have seen from this line is jacked looking. I have no desire to add any of these to my collection. They remind me of the Fab Face My Scene line (except these make noises). Total miss with this line imho :O)

    1. Dollz4Moi, my Walmart only had the one Clawdeen doll but she too was rather iffy looking. They've been doing that a lot lately, only having one set of a line. They do that with the SIS girls too. I don't know why they order so few or perhaps they aren't big sellers.

  10. Clawdeen is the one that I collect the most of, but this line will not be apart of it. I do not like this one.

  11. Pretty lame. The eye opening and closing was pretty sexy, though. "Five head" LOL! You crack me up. I haven't heard that in forever.

    1. Vanessa, if you view that doll in person you'll see why she is worthy of the fivehead label. I guess they had to make room in her noggin for some of the sound components, but still.

  12. Totally agree that this one is not for my liking or collection! When I first saw it I was like Why? I don't need eyes rolling moving etc! Totally lame lol. Love the five head comment! Too funny :-)

    1. LOL, Chynadoll. I'm not sure anyone needs rolling eyes. I guess I equate that with baby dolls so it seems kinda weird for teens.

  13. When I first saw her the thing that bothered me most was her eyes. They look like they are sunk into her head.

    1. Hi, Tracey! The first thing I noticed about her was her huge forehead and then I thought something was wrong with her eyes. I guess they have to be set back like that for the lids to come down.

    2. Hey Muff, I guess so I just wish they could of made that 5 head more attractive, they could of done some of them wavy curls as bangs to cover that monstrously huge thing up.

I hope you are having a good day today, I hope everyone in dollyville is HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! Lol watching Duck Dynasty on A&E rocks!
