MiWorld Collector Packs

Toys R Us has the MiWorld sets for sale, but the TRU I went to is only carrying the Sprinkles version for $14.99 (larger sets like Claire's are supposedly $29.99). However, they did have a display set up so I got to see what some of the others look like.

Even though the sets are 1:12 scale it really looked to me as if the accessories could be used for 1:6. They were carrying a huge amount of Collector Packs for $2.99 so I figured, what the heck, and bought a bunch. They are AWESOME and will work great with your 1:6 dolls! Check out Cleo modeling the scale.

Although the sets themselves are small, I can see them selling out and probably not making it to clearance prices. If they do, I would snap up every single one. Just going on the accessories alone, they are extremely well made. I am very pleased with the sturdy materials used and their attention to detail. It's all so cute!

  1. Awesome! I love nail polishes, they are incredibly cute! Cupcakes stand is also really nice, good to hear those accesories are well made (although they won't appear here). I need to check their site, those sets are simply adorable and they really work with barbie-size dolls.

    1. Major when I first checked their website after I bought some, it said that they were sold by Walmart. If they make it to the Walmart website maybe you can get them shipped.

  3. Hello from Spain: great find. I love nail polish. Also the cupcakes are fabulous. I'll scour the shops in my town these supplements. My dolls need those things. Nice pictures. Keep in touch

    1. Marta, I like how you said, "My dolls need those things." Yep, that's what I tell myself when I buy stuff for my dolls to use.

    1. And at a pretty good price, Roxanne. I think they are worth three bucks.

    1. Mustiwait, I was starring so hard at the sets I almost missed the packs. At first I thought they were packs of candy.

    1. Acerico, they are newly released here so maybe they will make their way to Spain in a little bit.

  7. I went to the one of the only two Wal-Mart's that carry them in my area. I agree some of the things are too big for 1:12. They didn't have the packs at Wal-Mart. I like them but I think they may be too much right now. Only one was $14.99 the rest were about $30.00 and I wanted two.
Wal-mart said they are going to order more and have it as regular stock from now on.

    1. Now that you say that, Grandmommy, some of the accessories do seem too big for 1:12. I held some of the items up to my action figures that size and it looks like they are holding super sized items or big gulps. Oh, well, it works out for me either way.

    1. Brini, I think that there were 4 more packs that I didn't get so they do have a lot of variety to choose from.

  10. Oh wow! Those accessory sets are amazing! My nearest store had the display set up, but had NOTHING for sale. Which was really disappointing then, but super-disappointing after seeing how well these sets work for 1:6!

    1. Presto, I thought that maybe my store had sold out of the other set versions and that's why they only had the Sprinkles set left but seems like a lot of stock didn't go out and maybe stores want to see what the interest is before they stock up.

    1. Georgia Girl, even I'm tempted to pick up a full set since they come with 36 pieces. I just don't want to pay $14.99/$29.99 though, lol.

  12. Wow, these look great - I hope they eventually trickle over to here. They do look too big to be 1:12 scale though particularly when you pose them with Cleo. I wonder if they had to pay OPI to use their brand name for the nail polish?

    1. Carrickters, I had never heard of OPI (or Sprinkles or Claires) so I didn't know it was a brand name. It wasn't until I saw the Dairy Queen packet that I thought, "Oh wait, are these based on real stores?"

It makes me wonder if there is going to be a tie in to the stores. Like Ikea is selling their miniature sets maybe we will be able to go into these stores and purchase the sets.

  13. Agree with everyone else on the nail polish, but I think the little boxes meant for (fake) make-up are even more awesome!

    1. Anderson, those make-up cases are well done with a nice hinge. I bet you could even turn the bigger one into a small laptop by just gluing a few images into it.

  14. Love these accessories, Muff. They look great with Cleo - the nail polish bottles, the jewelry, and the cupcakes. Yay you for finding them and sharing the info with us ;-)

    1. You're welcome, Dana! The miWorld stuff is certainly in limited release, because when I went to the other TRU we have, the lady said all her store had received was 2 of the shop girls that clerk the stores. They didn't get any sets or packs.

So, Claire's has a history of working with toy companies. Next time I'm at the mall I'll see if we have one of their stores.

  15. Oh and we have Claire's stores here in Philly.* It's a chain that carries inexpensive fashion accessories for 1:1 young women. Mattel had a Claire's booth for their My Scene dolls and a Claire’s Exclusive Barbie.

*And yes, I suppose they have them other places, too. I don't have either of those sets - alas - but thought I'd mention them.

  16. WOW! I really like them and the work well with 1/6. I wish they had the set up locally to be seen here.

    1. Thanks Ana, we do have a nice variety of doll stuff here. It's a shame it's not released to other countries with the same frequency and availability.
