Knight's Doll Show - Kissimmee

The doll show I attended in November was in Kissimmee, FL which is just a few minutes past Orlando. Since this trip was part of my birthday weekend I had saved up money and was determined to splurge and buy whatever I wanted. My tightfisted nature won out though, lol, and I didn't come away with any Tonner's or FR's like I intended. There weren't any FR's anyway, but here's what I got.

$5 each. I really liked their clothing and thought that was an excellent price for the Hello Kitty Summer(?)

The most expensive thing I purchased was this Little Missmatched for $30. I stared at her for a good 10 minutes and walked around the showroom twice before I decided to get her.

Size comparison

I know her clothes will fit my Moxie's and she has such a thick neck and big hands that I'm hoping I can use her body for my male dolls.

Louis Ghost chairs for $10 each. The lady I purchased them from said they were table gifts at a Barbie Convention. She also said that the 2016 National Barbie Convention was going to be in Jacksonville, FL. Has anyone ever gone to one? The information online about it is slim pickings and the YouTube videos I've found aren't making me all that hot to attend. Any first hand knowledge would be appreciated.

I was hoping the miniatures lady would be at the show and she was!

Tea sets $2.00, Pot set $0.75

$.25 each! They are all magnets

$1.00 each which is ridiculous really, but I hate sewing so it was worth it to me.

$3.00 total

Look at the ice in the cola!

Wasabicon 2014

Held on November 1st and 2nd of 2014 in my home town, this was my first time attending Wasabicon, a anime/gaming convention. I had a blast and will definitely attend next year if they hold it here again. Since this isn't really 1:6 scale related, I'll keep it short (ha ha, as if) and just show you the stuff I bought. At the end is a little video of the event. ^__^

A sexy wallet

Link mousepad
(Legend of Zelda was my game back in the day!... and Pokémon)

Fans - because I'm fancy that way
And because I get hot flashes

Naurto Leaf Village Headband with Shuriken (throwing star)

Cute chopsticks because I eat a lot of bento boxes

All of the next items came from the same vendor, BlackFlameCreations, and he makes the most wonderful custom creations and oddities.

This was a Nerf gun but now it's a steampunk masterpiece.

This little box simply lights up in rotating colors.
It pleased me to look upon it, so I thought what the heck.

He had a lot of customized goggles but I just got a plain pair because I was running out of money, lol.

My favorite thing he had is this ring. Makes me think of knights and dragons.

That's as far as my money went, so here's the video!:

2014 Isn't Over

My first few posts for 2015 will be all about stuff I did in 2014 actually. I'm so slow, lol. November and December were very busy for me work wise. I traveled WAY more for work than I would have liked, but I still did a lot of fun stuff for myself in between.

Went to Wasabicon and I'm working on a video about that.
No, that's not me. I'm a lady.

Went to a doll show and working on a video about that too.

Spent my birthday in Orlando and had a wonderful time.

Went to a museum fashion exhibit.
It was pretty cool, but not exactly my cup of tea.

While I was on the road for work I stayed in several hotels.

The best was the Residence Inn in Sebring, FL.

The worst was the Microtel Inn in Zephyrhills, FL.

Just a little fyi in case you are ever in either of those places.

When I would come home I would always make my weekly visit to the Thrift Store. During November and December I found so much stuff you would not believe it. I'm going to do a couple of posts to show it all to you.

One thing I started working on in December and still need to finish are some display units I'm building. I applied to be a vendor for a doll show in February and still don't know if I got in. In case I do, I want to be prepared. And in case I don't, I didn't want to spend any money so that's why I'm making my own displays out of cardboard, foam and paper.

Well, that's what I've been up to and what I've been working on.

Let's all have a good 2015 and I'll see you more in the new year!
