Got this beauty for $9.95. She's missing most of the accessories and is broken in places, but the sound pack works great. There's dancing in the video! *oontz, oontz, oontz*
There's something wonderfully bizarre about squeezing an airplane and a cruise ship into one playset. Talk about compact living! I think I would have bought it just for the sound effects too, but the kitchen was a nice surprise, working lights and all. Although I feel a bit bad for poor Ms. Pasternak, forever stuck to her cart/dollstand... :D Hope you have fun at the doll show!
Oh, that's MARVELOUS. An entire vacation in a box! I would be fascinated for days with stocking the galley kitchen, and that's before even getting to the question of accessorizing the cruise ship side. Little shelves and things that open!
Both were great finds!! Your videos are totally awesome. I can't wait to see what you do with them....future pics, dioramas. Oh, and that Ms Pasternak knows how to party! Lol!
Your display has come along very nice. Please take pics of your display at the show. Many blessings on your sells.
Great find! Not to shabby for $9.95! I loved Ms. Pasternak. She really knows how to let down her hair and party! Good luck at the doll show. Looking forward to seeing your displays and pics from the show!
Is that what is known as a vacation package? Flight and cruise. lol I love it all! I would have been playing with that for a while. This is perfect for a really cool doll story!
It sure is, Grandmommy! I use to cruise way, way back in the day. You'd book your airfare and cruise in one package and pay for your excursions while you were on the ship. I miss it and I don't, lol, because it was always fun, but always a hassle getting there and back. There's a cruise line right out of Jacksonville now, so I wouldn't have to fly to Miami anymore, but it's still not worth the hassle.
Hello from Spain: great job with the video. I like to see every detail. I like the hostess with the car. A great buy. I had not seen before this plane-boat. A great idea. Keep in touch
Great find! I love the sounds, the reclining seat, the overhead compartment and the kitchen. I just looked on ebay to see what it looks like with more pieces. It comes with at least 3 chairs. This is the perfect set....you first fly to your destination then board the cruise ship. Good luck with your show!
Thanks, Vanessa! I sure am glad that I took a risk on it, but we know I'm always tempted by things I cant see inside, lol, I could probably outfit it with its original items through eBay, but that would cost more than what I paid for the whole unit.
Awesome find! I remember partying like that on my last cruise...disco ball and all. Best of luck at the doll show! I wish I could attend. I'm sure you will be showing and selling some fantastic goodies.
LOL, Jewell, I was always a total downer when I was cruising. I pretty much stayed in the room. By the time I would get my sea legs the trip would be over.
What an amazing playset. I'm sure you will have more fun kitting it out with things you find than if you had got it with all the pieces intact. I notice Ms. Pasternak's updated her outfit as the video progressed. I hope your show goes well and you sell lots.

ReplyDeleteLOL, Anderson, I think that Ms. Pasternak has shown us that she will not be confined, lol. She likes to party too much to be hindered by that cart.
DeleteWow! What a great find! Love the cart/dollstand, lol. Cute video :) Don't hit your head on the disco ball, Ms. Pasternak! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Farrah Lily! It was definitely a fun find.

DeleteThere is a port out of Charleston too now. I have not sailed out of it yet. Getting to Fla. first IS a hassle.

ReplyDeleteGo, Ms Pasternak! She's a party of one! "Shake your groove thing, yea, yea!" (Oh gosh, guess I am that old, lol.)
Best wishes for fun at the Doll Show. We know your exhibit will rock. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, D7ana! I remember that song so I must be just as old! Yea yea, lol. Thanks for the well wishes. From your mouth to people's pocket books.
DeleteThat's a great find! It makes me miss my plane and boat I have for Barbie.
ReplyDeleteAwe, that's too bad, Brini. I hope you had some awesome fun with them while you had them.

What a great set with clever accessories! Ms. Pasternak is a beautiful doll too, she seems to belong with the set! Great video! Night Owl
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda! She does fit right in with the set and she will only ever have one passenger on the plane to worry about, lol.
