Not that my dolls are big campers, but I do like these accessories and for the price they seem worth it quality wise. The fire wood looks a tad poopy-esque by itself, but I'm sure once you stick the flame in it, it'll look more firey. My favorite item is the lantern. It looks warm and robust. The pillow is the only item that seems off. Or perhaps when people camp they take hard as crap plastic pillows to sleep on.

I have never understood plastic pillows. I like my bed firm, but that seems a bit extreme, even for a doll!ReplyDelete
Those accessories look adorable, I hope that our store gets them!
Erin, I have collected several Mattel pillows so it's not like they don't make real ones. Guess plastic was cheaper.Delete
Nice video. I saw these in my store but didn't buy since my dolls aren't big campers either. There's a part of me that knows I should get them for the day I suddenly decide to shoot a family camping trip or plan a girl scout outing for Mara's dolls.ReplyDelete
Jewell, I think they could be used for a picnic setting or in a backyard patio too, but meh, that's still an outdoors activity and my dolls aren't that interested.Delete
I've been passing these up because my residents don't seem to like camping. As you may recall, Grayson suggested it, but Cyann basically told him it wasn't going to happen. That's the last time someone mentioned camping around here.ReplyDelete
Interesting new word - poopy-esque. I'll have to remember that one.
Jaye, maybe a bunch of dudes could have a man weekend and they might need the stuff.Delete
Adding esque makes everything refined. ^__^
These are pretty cool, if only for the fact that we're getting some outdoorsy, non-cleaning, non-beauty items. The pillow seems really odd. Maybe they already had that mold ready to go and couldn't stand to waste it? Was that a sleeping bag or just a blanket in there with it?ReplyDelete
I agree, Presto! These "camping" sets are the first, let's call them "non traditional" Barbie accessory sets I've seen. Sure they have camping accessories in the many varieties of campers they've sold but I haven't seen them released as individual packets. I'm down with it.Delete
The packet was too compact for me to wiggle it around to see if it was a blanket or a sleep bag.
Thanks for showing us what's out there Muff.ReplyDelete
My dolls aren't outdoorsy either, but, I can see all those sets having useful elements for a day trip to the park scene, except for the campfire and even that might look good in a fireplace. Unless I'm mistaken you have a Liv doll cabin/kitchen playset you showed us how to cut apart so perhaps some of this stuff could help make that into a rustic diorama.
Good memory, Maricha! I do have a Liv cabin and a Moxie cabin somewhere too. If I did get one, it would be the one with the lantern. And maybe the picnic puppy basket as I'm curious to what kind of doggie it is.Delete
That puppy looks like it would be a cocker spaniel to me.Delete
Those are cute sets, although my favorite Mattel camping set was the one where they had licensed Barbie sized Coleman products. I've seen that plastic pillow in other Barbie sets recently; it probably is cheaper. That sleeping bag would be nice for having a kid sleep over at another friend's house, if your dolls don't enjoy the outdoors. :)ReplyDelete
Barb, I had to do a search for the Barbie Coleman items and they had several cool sets. They should have a revival and release them again.Delete
Cute stuff! I haven't been to WalMart lately as they seem to never have the Sparkle Girls clothing anymore, just the dolls in the ice cream cones! I also don't get the plastic pillow thing! I toss them aside and make real pillows for my dolls! Can you imagine the little girls having a pillow fight at a sleepover part? They would knock each other out with those!ReplyDelete
Phyllis, that sounds like some kind of Mean Girls sleep over where they are going to haze the new girl by hitting her with that pillow.Delete
Sparkle clothing is a hot commodity so I'm not surprised.
Wspaniałe zestawy! Moje lalki lubią przebywać na campingu i pewnie bym się za takimi oglądała, gdyby były u nas w sprzedaży. Niestety, jeszcze takich nie widziałam.ReplyDelete
Dziękuję za pokazanie kompletów i pozdrawiam Cię serdecznie!
Olla, twoje lalki są tak aktywne i pójść na wiele przygód na świeżym powietrzu. Jestem pewien, że oni kochają te zestawy.Delete
I guess a plastic pillows battle would be painfulReplyDelete
If you're the winner Sergio, the pain would fade faster.Delete
Why does this stuff take a million years to arrive to my country? I haven't seen any of the things on the video! The sets are cute, and they can always be repainted for more realism.ReplyDelete
Not all my stores have these in stock yet, Monster so who knows how long the wait time will be for international markets. :(Delete
I'm always a fan of useful non-pink accessories, as well as plastic versions of stuff that definitely shouldn't be made of plastic, like fire, so I hope these appear over here soon.ReplyDelete

Anderson, I didn't even notice the color of the items and lack of excessive pinkness. But who doesn't love a pink fishing rod.Delete
